This coming weekend Weather

So much for heading out early. Just leaving the house now.

MJK

Due to the uncertainty of the weather and the gusty winds, we all stayed safe and secure in our slips yesterday.

We had a huge seafood fest and an undisclosed location, consisting of:

calamari stuffed with crabmeat and scallops
grilled scallops
oysters on the half shell
grilled jumbo shrimp
mussels in a tomato/onion sauce
seaweed and tuna salad
baked ziti
linguine with pesto
chilean sea bass with tequila lime marinade
three green salads
ziti with meatballs
birthday cake
cookie cake

We didn't even open the 20lb bag of clams, or the 20lb bag of corn... That, and the leftovers will be eaten today!

Up here I had a candy wrapper blow across my lawn & it scared the hell out of me.

We had a tragic event from Hurricane Earl at my dock.
We were all sitting on dock.
Having some cocktails.
Suddenly a small wind came up that blew over my freshly made Tanqueray and Tonic.
Damn you Earl!

Stayed at the dock yesterday thanks to the gusty winds.

Had another seafood fest, finished off the king crab, oysters, clams, corn, sea bass, kielbasa, ziti, salads, pesto, buffalo wings, and pork chops...

At the risk of great personal injury, don't you actually have to come down to the boat to know what a dock mary is????? (JUST KIDDING LEIGH!!!!)

Looks like it went untouched this weekend. I usually see him cleaning from top to bottom and I wonder how did it get dirty.

This weekend turned out great. I was a little confused as to the holiday though. I thought it was Labor Day but when I got to town it seemed more like St. Patrick's day, as if I wasn't confused enough at about 9:00 pm I must have dosed off for a long time cause when I woke up it was X Mass the boats went by all deck out for the Holiday. I think I must have had too much to drink.

Dan I'm sorry the timing didn't work out I really was looking forward to hearing all about your adventures.

Almost forgot to mention. I've been boating on the Hudson for a long time and I have never been stop by any LEO today I was just about at my home port just at the tip on Stony Point and a CG boat cuts in front of me and hits his lights. I stopped and sent the Admiral out on the bow to see what they wanted and all they asked was "are you registered in New York" she answered yes and our home port is just around the bend, they said have a nice day. They never boarded never even pulled along side, just spoke bow to bow and left. Very odd to say the least. For the record I do not have a current CG sticker displayed if I did I might understand not taking it any further and inspecting or at least asking for papers or something. Why bother stopping me they could see the reg stickers in plain sight.

A few pictures from the trip

I very tight fit I had to bow in because the fingers were only about 8' wide I didn't get in very far.

The Aux CG stickers are a joke and not worth anything to you. Trust me. We know. Several times we know. LMAO.

LEO were out in force today, stopping boats left and right and going over them with a fine toothed comb.

It really is getting ridiculous!

Mike I was surprised they didn't board us they could not have been nicer or quicker it's as if they were looking for someone and we didn't fit the description so they moved on once they got a look at us.

I know John...LOL

We are actually spending a week on Lake George.
we rented a house on the water with a nice boat house/roof top deck.
Towed up my fathers 20' Pontoon boat and we are enjoying the slow cruising up and down this beautiful lake.

I could really get used to this...

Spider Sh!t...

"Spider Sh!t..."

It's been a tough year for spider ****.

FYI, my inspection sticker saved me from a boarding near Fire Inlet early in the season. We were stopped and I pointed to the sticker. They looked at it and confirmed it was for this year and we were on our way.

I know a kid in the CG and they laugh at them. You were lucky. They have a set of numbers to go after.
