Whoa - never thought I'd be saying that. And maybe it's a stretch, but check out this water temperature about a dozen miles off the Maine coast! Finally, a good weekend. I might have to break out the floating drink-holder chair.

Got a wedding to go to (what are theythinking)! Then off to the boat and the Casco Bay Islands for the weekend.

What are y'all doing?

A wedding in August, prime boating season????? I tell all my friends and relatives I only do weddings in January and February. <g>

Great for you! One of these days we're going to head up that way (we keep heading south at this point...but eventually we will try north). We love to ski at Sugarloaf and in general love Maine (still haven't seen a moose though). However, I hate to tell you, but a quick check of the fish finder here on the Chesapeake tells me the current water temp is 83. The coldest I've ever seen it down here is 35 in the dead of winter.

Water temp at Block 71 degrees - not bad. Only thing - FOG!!!!!!!

Actually hit 73 here last week - 70 today. Be interesting to see how Bill effects the temps. Was in the water today unsnagging a 9-foot-long, 2 foot in diameter log from the running gear and got out of the water still looking moderately manly.

Spike: glad you made it back in the pea soup - nice trip?

Kurt: Give us a heads up when you make your next run to the Loaf. We ski there a lot. I'll buy you a cold one at Gepettos.

You guys are tough swimming in that water. In my area mid 80's.

Steve, that's unusually high for Maine isn't it? The last time I went swimming at Old Orchard in August, I think I tripped over a penguin.
