Guys,

I was at Anchorage today - 2pm - 4:30pm. I believe it was approx high tide time. The water level seemed VERY low, even lower than low tide during the summer. Is this normal after the winter? Is the wind literally blowing the water out of the bay into the ocean? Does this effect the marina more than the bay, or do I need to be xtra careful in the bay.

Jeff

Steady wind from the west/northwest will do that. The bay will also be lower except against the eastern shores where it may pile up.

It looked like the tides were getting close to normal over the weekend but today was extremely low again. Once the weather patterns change and we start getting away from the steady north winds things will return to normal.

Just like the Buoys, the Dept of Waterways has not added the water yet!
And if you believe that, then you will now need EZPass when crossing under the Robert Moses Causeway!

WAsnt the water thingy discussed over the winter... the east end guys need to flush more toilets....?? that was the findings ?

FYI I called the dept watter ways again... ( cause I can ) and i got a woman... an old woman...

I asked my question ... she gave me a new number to call... I called that # and got another woman... Humm my lucky day... I asked again ... Where and when .. she said they have been HARD AT WORK installing the buoys and should be completed in 4 weeks ... I again asked specifically for my area ... repeated her self... I then asked if she could tell me where they were up too... she said SIR ... I told u they will be done in 4 weeks ... CLICK!

NICE!!!!!
