Time to Go

Thanks to all. Hope to be back on board in a couple of days.

I'm baaaaaaaaack!!!!! Although not up to myself yet.

I want to thank each and everyone of you for your thoughts and prayers over the last week. They worked!!

I had my surgery completed Thursday evening and stayed in Hackensack Medical until Friday evening at which time they sent me home to "ride out the effects". I think I went to the edge of hell and back over the week-end but I'm slowly feeling better. No matter how good a shape I felt that I was in, the smallest task is now tiring me completely, but I am feeling much better.

Once again, thanks for all the good thoughts, and I hope to be on the water with you real soon.

Pete, is there anything we can do to help you out with the boat?
Glad to hear everything went well. Looking forward to seeing you and Brandy back in you regular Summer haunt.

I'm with John, maybe we can take it for a ride for you or something? :D

Glad to hear you are on the mend! Just don't push yourself to hard to fast.

Ill take it over for its first raft up!!!!Anything for you Pete....Ummmmmm, that's if the tank is full and the cooler is full....
Seriously, take your time and don't push it Pete...Its all for the better now...

Pete, now that you made it through the procedure, the Yankees can stop letting the Sox win games!

I'm with ya Mike, I want to save some of these wins for latter in the year when they will really be needed, but the gesture was sure appreciated.

I'm not sure of the status of my boat it was supposed to be in a few weeks ago, and then while checking the oil level I broke the dipstick off in the block. It should have been fixed by now and floating, but I just don't know.

John, Butch or Dan if it is floating the tanks are full and the keys won't be hard to find. Have fun.

Hey Pete glad to hear you are doing better. As of last night when I drove past the marina your boat was still on the hard. It's moved from it's original spot though..getting closer. Couldn't drive by tonight, just got back from a meeting in Albany.

Monica & I will be by to give you and Brandy a hand getting your boat cleaned up and put back together for summer fun.

Good news Pete to see you posting. Keep a positive attitude on the recovery trail, your attitude will determine your altitude.

I will supply cleaning materials if there is a collective get together to do a get ready on Pete's boat...OK, we are all busy but if you want something done do you ever call someone who is laying around? I can't get into Haverstraw so a member there has to volunteer to carry the stuff in the dock cart.

All the best Pete for a full & speedy recovery....G

Let me know if you guys need another hand...

Thanks for the offer guys. Prior to going in for surgery I washed and waxed the hull to the rub rail, I have all summer to complete the rest of it and with my new attitude, enjoying life is now the number one priority. Now if I can just figure out the financial end of this priority. :)

Pete don't concern yourself with that. Once you figure it out you will have convinced yourself you really shouldn't be boating.
I had a manager that used to say "it's easier to ask for dispensation than it is to ask for approval". I have found this motto helps when I pull up to the fuel dock. Gee dear, I didn't realize we would use that much fuel..

Pete,

I'll keep you in my prayers.

As far as figuring out the financial ends of your priority - my Dad always says two things

1) You can't take it with you

and

2) I hope you kids aren't counting on me, cause I'm going out through the exact change lane!!

Pete
They launched your boat this afternoon. You are in your slip and ready to go.........

Joe;

Thanks for the heads up, I got a call from the marina office tonight about 5:00 PM. Cindy's first question was "How am I", before we went any further I told her if I'm in the water I'm great otherwise please hang up. She put a smile on my face.

Plan to be up tomorrow to make sure she's still floating, and it certainly improved my recouperation plans for next week.

Hope to see you tomorrow.
