Got back from our Shinnecock and West Hampton Beach trip yesterday. We usually take longer trips with more destinations, and 9 nights on the boat was not a record for us, but Linda and I had enough. Great weather overall except for Friday with some fog and misty rain heading from east to WHB. One thing to remember when in the sun and boating for a long trip is drink plenty of water. I did not this time and felt very off when coming back yesterday. A little extra booze and lack of water over 10 days can catch up with you. Been drinking a ton of water and some Gatoraid and feeling a little better, but not perfect. I am sure glad that I have today off from work, but now the chore of boat clean up.
Dave, I think Rob most likely was anchored more west near treasure cove. But I have dropped the hook in Smiths Cove between Sag Harbor and where the Ferries cross to shelter. When we took a spin around or traveling we always see boats anchored here and there.
Billy, we past your area around 10:30 yesterday, I know Marie said you would be out later so we kept on going.
