On Sunday my wife and i took our furthest trip North....until then the furthest we went was Alpine. So we cruised past the Tap and got to what i believe is Croton point or something. Little cove tucked in behind the bend in the river. Many boats on the hook.

Including 2 raft ups. One of about 5 boats and one of about 10.

We cruised through at a very slow speed (shallow water 4 feet), and looked around. Looked like folks were having a good old time.

Was that any of you?

What is the name of that little cove?

How far were we from some of the other places you folks reference around here like Havestraw and Bowline?

Thanks,
dan

Sounds like Croton, we were across the river in Bowline pond.

We were out there from 12-5. We were on the eastern side swimming and relaxing!

Ok, so i was in the right area. We didnt get up there till just after 5.....got a late start. I'm glad i know i was close. Didnt take long to get there. Took me about an hour to get from Words Fair Marina in Flushing to the Hudson (coming out the north side of manhattan), then maybe another hour to get up to that point.

Nice ride!
