Today I was at my marina working on the boat and the local FD launched their rescue boat. They returned over an hour later with a body, found somewhere between Swan Creek and Turkey Point just off APG.

Not confirmed yet, but there's evidence that this is the guy that's been missing from Havre de Grace City Dock since January. When he disappeared, his mail and wallet were found on top of his dockbox.

This can be a lesson for everyone. Be careful working on your boat in the water- it's still cold enough to kill.

Oh man, that is scary, I can't tell you how many times I almost went for a dip this winter and as a matter of fact I fell in last Christmas Eve. Turkey Point is only a quick ride from my marina too. Poor Guy.
I think the rule is that if you DON'T want to fall in, remove your cell phone from you pocket.
Thanks for the update!

Ugh, that's bad news. Well, at least they found him, that'll give some degree of closure for the family. Still sucks though.

Folks don't always appreciate how the sudden shock of cold water can be really dangerous. Of course you could always fall and hit your head even when it's warm as bath water.

Having fallen in at a fuel dock in early April (a couple of years ago) I can attest to the stress/panic. I damn near LEVITATED flapping arms and legs getting out. Now whenever I'm at the water the first thing I look for is the closest ladder.
