I came back from the exumas and Nassau earlier this week. Great weather! The crossing from gun Cay yesterday was one of the best I ve done... Glassy! Great bank crossing the day before from the Berrys. I always skip chub, it just doesn't do it for me and too $$. I anchored just inside bird cay instead. Great spot with many beaches and sandbars nearby.

Speaking of which I took the tender to check berry island club, they are open. The T-head is nice and deep and the channel is wide with a pair of buoys at the entrance. Talked to the manager, looks like they re open for good. A better choice than chub and more "Bahamian" in my opinion

Thanks! Very glad to hear BIC is back open. I always like that place in years gone by.

Pascal did they clean up the T-Head? It was in very rough condition when we were there and some of the bolts were sticking out of the pilings. Ask Freedom. She has a couple of scars.

Indeed it is rustic. We have heard to be very careful with their moorings.

From what they told me, previous tenants / operators are out if the picture. Building looks freshly painted, landscaped with some outdoor tables / hammocks. They had just installed sat Internet and wifi (didn't try it)

T head looked good but again I didn't tied up.

I also heard a couple of stories about the moorings, I wouldn't try them with a bigger boat

We used the Wifi there but were told that we should "work a deal" with the new owner who was out. Probably working at Chub. A younger man that drove an Escalade (yes, he had one there). When we docked the folks on hand wanted to charge us 10$ an hour for the wifi. Anyway, he gave us the pass code but we had to wait for him to show up later in the evening.
It wasn't so much that the T head was in bad shape, as it was the outside was worn and had hardware hanging off of it. Fender boards should have been used but we did not have them.
