Just a reminder that the annual Tri State Boat Show is going on at Rockland Community College NEXT week, Fri-Sun March 16-18...

Its the last boat show of the season, so anybody looking for that great Boat Show deal would do well to stop by there. Of course as usual I'll be at the Mahopac Marina booth trying to stop people from buying all of our boats too quickly [:-mischievous]. I do a great job at THAT!!!

Come by and say "Hi" if you're in the neighborhood...

Mike, be on the lookout for heart smart Pete eating ice cream!
Also, bring details on your SunRunners...current and past ;)

Oh, brother. And they serve the crappiest food at that damn place!!!

Mike, I'll be sure to save you some travel stuff in case it all gets given away at Danbury this weekend. See you there!!!

Hey Pete, I'll be there Thursday and Friday working at River's Edge Marine cleaning their boats up for show. Give me a holler if you need some waxing/cleaning done last minute.

Do you know if there will be any electronics dealers there?

Thanks, George!!! I'll let Charlie know that you'll be there in case he needs any professional help...

Come to think of it, we ALL need professional help in this business, but a different kind!!!

I don't know who'll be there from the electronics side. Are you looking for something in particular???

Yeah, Raymarine C-80 display, 4Kw 48" open array radar and an ICOM M422 VHF. Short list, long $$$'s.

Do you want to get one installed for you? I met a guy at the White Plains boat show who does that stuff and was very nice and professional. Former Navy man, in his 20s. His brother still serves on the George Washington:

ADNS Marine Electronics
(914) 882-2382
Marland Oliva

Maybe he can make a package deal with you or something. If you call, tell him that Pete from the Metro Boat Show sent you so at least he knows that something good can come out of my boat shows once in awhile :)...

Of course, I can get you these things too, but I'm not sure how competitive my pricing would be on those units, and I'd still need somebody like Marland to install them. And of course, there's always BoatFix...

PS - we've been starting to push the new units by Humminbird. They're probably not in league with the Raymarine units yet, but coupled with Navionics Gold or Platinum they're pretty neat stuff. So for people with smaller cruisers, say 30 feet or under, they might want to consider them...

No, the dealership from Cleveland will install the radio if I have it here when they deliver the new boat, the other stuff I would need installed but I have to buy it first. Electronic stuff is crazy on the net, Boatfix is on my list as I compare prices.

Might also want to try Boatfix -- they had some good prices on electronics when I was looking back in January.

George

When you signed up for this website you agreed not to post links to other websites like that. You might want to remove that link or face the wraith of the Hogan....

toooooo Late..Hogan Strikes again!!!!
24 Days and Counting...

???????????????????????????? Which web site did he link to - BOATFIX??? I don't think Les would mind THAT one too much...

Pete, I edited it from the site he posted to BoatFix. You gotta get up pretty early in the morning to get one past me (or rommer).

oops, I apologize. And Rommer, thanks for the warning - I was detained in a meeting, but I appreciate it.

Who's exhibiting at the show ¿

Sorry for being thickheaded, Mike! NOW I get it...

There will be quite a few local dealers there, such as Pennybridge Marina (Chaparral), DeFeo's Marina (Bennington, Azure), Mahopac Marina (Stingray, PartiKraft, Sunsation), plus I'm sure somebody from Bayliner (Bakker or Boat-n-RV, not sure which) and Sea Ray (Surfside 3?). Now that Mike is getting trigger happy I'm not sure if I should post a link, but if you Yahoo on "Tristate boat show rockland" you should be able to find more details...

Its a decent sized show, with boats to approx 32 feet. It will also likely be sparsely attended, so if you're a serious boatbuyer you'll find you have all the time in the world to look at the boat of your choice without much distraction, except of course the salivating dealer sales rep who'll be standing over your shoulder. But he'll probably have more time to spend with you, too, if you have questions, and he'll also likely be able to throw a great price at you. Many of the boat mfrs are offering pretty good rebates right now in an effort to boost sales...

.....and River's Edge Marine (Sea Swirl boats, Johnson, Evinrude & Yamaha outboards). They are local "if" you live in the mid-Hudson Valley!
