I bought a used boat with an 01 5.7 carburator Volvo engine. The trim gauge never worked since we bought the boat. Once the switch is on, the gauge shows a 30 degree angle. That's it.
Is it more likely the gauge that is not working or could it be the sender in the stern drive? I was told the sender is not cheap and difficult to change. I hope it's the gauge but I am afraid to buy a new gauge and the problem is the sender. Do trim gauges have some kind of adjuster on the back?
Any idea would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
