The trim pump stopped after 2 seconds of running, I can hear the solenoids clicking. There has to be a fuse or circuit breaker for the motor and so far I have not be able to find either. Has anyone changed the pump unit or just the motor? Any ideas?

Thanks

Greg,

I looked through my Volvo manuals and it doesn't show any circuit breakers on the SX models. The tests that they preform are all hydraulic type tests. It does mention that you need a fully charged battery. I know I have tried to operate my outdrive trim and if the battery wasn't charged, I would get the solenoid clicking noises. I would check that than check all your electrical connections.

There are 2 fuses on the back side of the pump covered with a black rubber cap. and one inline that involves removing the shifter.

Thank you for your responses, I have done some further checking and there is 12 volts at the disconnect plug for the motor. The port side trim pump works fine. So I can only assume that the trim pump motor is shot. Any suggestions for Volvo parts sources?

Greg
