Totally agreed Hogan. The one thing is they tell you on the instruction to cut it with a knife but that didn't really work. We used a jig saw. :-) other then that it is fairly easy to install with a little planning.

Thanks Allen. I did find them online and during my search I found a company that sells it in vinyl. They have several colors that appear to match the wood which I would rather do. I am not much of a fan of the metal. I would be to worried about cutting my feet or the dogs cutting thiers. I am still considering no trim at all. The current hatch that was in the wood floor was not edged and looked good too. I have a few weeks to figure it out yet.

Sure thing. i also looked at the Vinyl but didn't find one that was going to cover the corner well enough. When i had the carpet there was no trim.

on another note i agree with your tax idea on the "other tread" and i thought you responded respectfully and to the point.
don't want to get my self into politics on this forum as of yet. as Dave said I don't want to stir the pot on my first day! :)

I feel the same about the corners. I can cut a straight line but mitering corners is really not my forte. The benefit of the metal is ii is thin. It is why I did not want to use would trim.

Yeah, sometimes the clarity of my political opinion is better than other times. Or as my wife outs it, I can be an opinionated butthead with no grey area when I want. But it is all good debate most of the time. :-)
