two inventions

With the recent talk about engines freezing and the use of devices to prevent that, I have always had in mind two inventions for trailer boat owners.

One is a heating element that screws into the transom plug from the outside that plugs into your house electricity and emits enough heat to raise the tempurature in your engine box to prevent freezing. Bilge must be free of water of course.

Two, a device that plugs into your trailer brake connection at the back of the tow vehicle that then attaches to your boats batteries. That way you get a top off charge into your boat batteries from the car as you head out to launch.

I would buy both.......thoughts

Maybe they stole that from me. I have had that in mind for 10-15 years. Theives.....I hope they go bust. Seriously, it looks like it may have been a good idea afterall. Maybe it will get under my Christmas tree this year. Thanks for the heads-up

When it got really cold, I would hang a drop light with a 100 watt bulb in the bilge next to the motor.

Or, a bit of wire and a combiner from your favorite marine store ( BoatFix, of course ) and you can do what the stay n charge does...

Just a thought.
