Update: Yet Another Golf Course and Marina

Just left Andros after bonefishing for a week. The road heading south from the airport at Fresh Creek is like the Ho Chi Minh Trail after a series of Rolling Thunder sorties. I hope the developers have a plan to ease the pain getting to the resort.
 
Good question. The sparse details show the place as being a 3.5M development. I don't know how they could build a road North, a Marina, and a Golf course with that pittance let alone a mess of other accomadations.
 
There is another airport south in Congo Town. I wasn't down there so I don't know what the roads, etc., are like. From what I did see, the Queen would not appreciate the condition of the "Queen's Highway."
 
I'd enjoy seeing Andros open up. A decent marina over there would make for an interesting stop by providing access to quite a bit of inland waters that could be accessed via dinks etc..
 
Yeah it would be nice to have something on Andros although Kemp Bay is a big far south to be a stop to from the Exumas

Fresh creek is awful. We stopped there a year ago, the marina is litterally falling apart

I guess the 3.5 M is for the golf course. Dredging and cutting an opening into the reef will cost a lot more than that! Reef is continuous there and the area behind the deed is shallow for miles u less they build further south and use the old autec channel
 
Dona Bertarelli? As in the wife of Ernesto Bertarelli of Alinghy fame maybe?

I hope they confine the building to Children's Bay bay or the very south end of Williams Cay. Williams Cay is part of Lee Stocking which has one of the most scenic anchorage in the Exumas

At least they have the cash for it. We'll see. But don't expect to be able to tie up there unless you want to empty your pockets. Probably not a place the average Exuma visitor can afford.
