upgrading electronics

I'm in the process of making a deal on some 3 year old furuno navnet 3d components. it consists of a 8" nanvet 3d display, a digital 3.5ft open array radar, the gps antenna, and dthe dff 1 sounder module.

anyone have any thoughts or experience with this stuff?

Three YO electronics are yesterday's newspaper.

IMHO, open array looks cool but unless you are running WAY offshore, is unnecessary.

Edit add---

Anything over 40% of PURCHASE PRICE is a reason to walk away and that's being kind.

Agreed. I spent MAJOR dollars on new Garmin electronics last year...price is way down for the new model year already, and merely 8-9 mos have passed.
