Vacation 2015

We just booked 5 days at Champlins!
Yes, I know but I was over-ruled and didn't want to be the only boat at the Boat Basin!
Champlins says it's been a light year and they haven't rafted anyone yet this year (not sure I believe that)!!
 
Dave, there was never a day when the entire marina was full. In fact, most of the time, even on the weekend, there were completely open wells. You won't be rafted.

Joe, the son, has taken over most of the duties. He was extremely accommodating to all requests from boaters who were coming in.

Never heard of it being that quiet. Any theories? Maybe they shouldn't be charging 50 bucks a night for electricity.
 
Most of the places - with the exception of Montauk Yacht Club have been fairly empty.

Took our dinks up to Selden Creek yesterday, rafted 3 together and idled up and down the waterway.

Had a great Prime Rib at The Gris last night.

Waiting for this storm cell to pass, then we are leaving Essex.
 
We went to Mau'i and loved our vacation as well. We went scuba diving and completed 4 dives seeing 5-6 ft White Tip Sharks, Manta Rays, Baracudas, jacks, Triggers, Blowfish, Frog Fish etc..Went to the BEST beaches one dreams of going to and my son jumped off a 30-35 ft cliff called Black Rock. We had an awesome condo right on the beach facing Haleakala and the Pacific Ocean. The family had a fantastic time. Can't wait to go back again.

Tried hailing on 72 and 69 no answer.

Leaving Danfords for MYC then old harbor.

Our first time doing this so wish us luck!!
