My pump runs for about 45 seconds when flushed.
I was told that's too long and to change the duckbills. Which I did yesterday. The old four didn't look deformed or worn.

With new duckbills nothing changed. So is there a problem or is this normal?

There are no leaks, because the system never kicks on by itself.

45 sec is a little on the long side but i wouldnt' worry about it. Could be that you have a longer hose run to the vac pump, or that the pump is a little tired, voltage a bit low, some resistance...

still in the "it aint broken enough to fix it" catagory!

Thanks, Pascal

My second thoughts were low voltage. Seems when I bought the boat a year ago the pump itself ran faster. The pump looks like it just came out of the box.
