Has any one ever successfully adjusted these devils and is it so that if you try you definitely ruined it?

I believe there is more than one version of the switch. Mine is a separate cylinder of approximately 2 gallons with the switch under the end cover. The rubber diaphragm failed while on a trip to an Island with no marine supply, not that they would have had one anyway. There was a hardware store that sold me a replacement inner tube for a wheelbarrow. So back to the boat and I made a custom diaphragm. Adjusted with no trouble based on the running time, since I had no way to measure vacuum (I think I set it for 45 seconds). Decided I would order a proper replacement upon my return. Got a real case of sticker shock so I just put a little piece of inner tube in the spare parts kit. That was three years ago.

Interesting I'm sure we have the same style pre 2000 model 1984 Searay 36AC withtwo vacuum canasters and switches Ouch on that $$$

you can't adjust the vac swtiches, unless mayb you pull it from the vac tank like happyu hour did?... i had one fail a couple of years ago, it was a $100 or so...

the older style (late 90s) had a plastic washer inside which broke, the new one had a metal washer (if i remember correctly)

Those switches are factory set and should not be tampered with. They should be replaced to keep the system running properly.

I agree with CaptDave. You cannot adjust these switches. They are preset from the factory, which is the reason why they have loctite on them.

There should be no reason to adjust it. If it fails youll most likely end up buying a new one unless you wanna go macguyver on it.

Phil's "da man," when it comes to VacuFlush systems. You can take his comments as Gospel!

Phil, haven't seen you here in quite a while - business slow?

I am relative sure that my manual has a procedure in it for adjusting the switch based on pump running time. Maybe different models have different procedures
