Vic, Any Elegance units heading to West Chester, PA this week? Ordered Boat Fix 7/5.
Family outing on boat 7/17, sure would like to show off my new Raritan.

You're going to love that head. Hopefully you can get it with a couple of days to spare. I think my install took about 4 hours, and most of that was spent reconfiguring the old head's raw water intake to the water maker. Did you get the one with the Smart Flush Control?

Yes, Got the smart control. It shouldn't take too long to install, old Crown is out and last one was already fresh water. Can't wait.

I agree it will be the last "head" you ever purchase. Simply the best in my opinion.

UPS just left. Can't wait to install. It'll will take me a little longer than what I figured. I'll need to run power feeds to the control panel.

I started to reply to you, but kept getting distracted with work (boo-hiss!!!). Anyway, it is very difficult for me to check on a BoatFix order. BoatFix does not buy directly from Raritan, but instead goes through a couple of different intermediaries. My management has some sort of bugaboo about Boatfix, which I have never been able to understand - but that's the situation.

Well, Woodchuck, how'd you make out with it? Did you get it installed? How do you like it?

Works like a dream. Love it. It took a little longer than I figured to install, but what dosn't on a boat. Started the install 1:00 on Friday with entire family coming Saturday AM for boat trip. First flush was 9:00 PM Friday night. Head backs up to port engine on old 43' Viking DCMY and all water, waste and wiring had to be relocated thru bulkhead 3" thick with every wire passing that area. Worst possible access area on that boat. Did I mention it was close to 100*.
Well worth the work, she got a workout on Saturday.

Glad you got the Elegance installed. I believe I got one of the 1st units when they 1st came out, mine still works like a "Timex". In other words perfect not a single clog, backup and it uses very little water.

I'm just happy I installed my here in MD back in March of this year. It was MUCH more comfortable to work on the boat in those temps!

Glad you got it in and it's working. They're wonderful units.

Vic, I'm honestly not sure what the heck the "normal flush" is for. EVERYTHING goes down with "water saver". Amazing.

Kurt, it's a matter of how they're programmed. The water saver flush can be programmed to run for as little as 1 second. But typically, its around 5 seconds or so.

Plus, we've met a few times and as you well know you're a good deal younger than I am, and as a result your metabolism isn't as slow as mine. When I make a deposit, the actually toilet says out loud, "You gotta be kidding me! Process that? No freakin' way!!!"

So they have to also include us old farts and our problems, when they're figuring out how to program the new toilets. What's "normal" for us, "ain't necessarily normal for ever'body else."

Woodchuck, glad to hear that you've got it in and that you're happy with it!

Have a great weekend all!
