Very interesting. I want one. This gives me an excuse to get back on the water.

I do some work aboard USCGC PENOBSCOT BAY in the summer. It's a 140' cutter specifically designed for ice breaking. It can continuously cut through up to 30" of solid ice and ram up to 4'. It's based in Bayonne with its sister ship STURGEON BAY. PENOBSCOT BAY is currently breaking ice in the Great Lakes and STURGEON BAY in on the Hudson around Kingston.
