I have a few questions to those out there with Volvo-Penta Duo-props (newer style) I have a 1999 Four winns w/430 hours.
When turning the steering wheel to the right, I get a vibration. When I trim up (shallow water, beaching, etc) I hear a light "knocking".
It sounds like a classic U-joint diagnosis, but I wanted to make sure first, Im new to this duo-prop game.
Also, my trim indicator doesnt work - I just bought the boat and I was wondering how much, on general consensus, did you pay to get your trim sender fixed? (I hear its a very common repair for Volvo DP-S set ups)
Last but not least, I have a 5.7L engine and my temp gauge stays about a hair past the half way mark. I replaced my impeller today, and no change. Whats the consensus on operating temperatures?
