I keep waiting to hear good news about this place. Everything I have ever heard says the current owners want way to much for a place that needs to be developed. The current price indicates about the only one who will buy this place is someone who wants their own island. It will never make money if you shell out 19 million, redevelop the hotel and marina, and hire staff to run it let alone maintain it.
It's typical greedy mentality where someone listens to an ahole real estate broker. You have paradise here that you should be paid for! The list of ridiculously priced commercial property in the Bahamas is staggering. Even worse, is the list of failed developments.

Only a fool, or a very wealthy person who wants a dumpy little airport would buy this place.
Old Bahama Bay can't keep a restaurant open, let alone all of its rooms full, the Grand Bahama Yacht Club has finally shut down, Orchid Bay on Guana Cay is a legal mess that makes it look like poison, Spanish Cay can't keep a restaurant open, etc. etc..
There are places that are doing well, but they have advantages these places do not like access to the mainland (Abaco) or a population that feeds the business as well as encouraging visits.
Maybe if diesel came down to a buck a gallon again places like Walkers would have a chance.
