Would like to visit this anchorage end of July. Any info would be helpful. Mooring or anchoring? Pumpouts and water? Dingy docks? Who to contact for reservation if needed? I have a 46ft power boat. Thanks Gerry

We anchored there last summer. The channel in is narrow and not very deep, but well marked. The first 90 degree turn to port around the peninsula is a bit scary. We bumped bottom there on they way out.

We anchored fairly close to the beach. It was very nice. We only stayed on night, so don't know about services. The town looked to be an easy dink ride from where we anchored.

What Hogan said about the channel, plenty of room to anchor by the beach and walk over the dunes to a really nice ocean beach. Plenty to do in town for a couple nites, I believe there are a few mooring in the inner harbor.

Thank you for the info. I'll keep you posted when we get there. thanks again

probably visualizing the green can 10ft from the port side while the beach is about the same from stbd!!

No issues getting in. Stay in channel no problems. The anchorage is well protected unless wind is out of the north. We arrived on
Tuesday and left on Friday am. Can't say enough good things about this anchorage and Napatree beach. Holding is good.

And when you turn to starboard you are about 30' off of the beach in 8' of water, lol.
The water in the basin gets pretty choppy in the afternoon from the western winds. I was going to say "westerly" but that is the name of the town.
No dogs are allowed anywhere on the beach. The cute little piping plovers think it is good nesting grounds, UGH
