Watch Hill Columbus Day Weekend

Weather permitting, gonna run the boat to watch hill tomorrow, just to check it out. Grab lunch on the way back. Feel the need to burn fuel :)
 
Now that the weekend is over it got very still outside!
 
We are going to take a ride today as well but not as far as WH.

Probably just out to the inlet or to zachs for lunch.
 
High tide last night was again super high.
I love stepping up to get on my boat!
 
Was a nice ride home today considering the last 3 days

Beautiful day on ths water today. Took a ride from East Rockaway to Freeport for lunch. Nautical mile was deserted. Boat ran great.
 
Glad to hear Mark. A few more weeks left in season . Atlantique was turning off the power at 3 today . We can thank Sandy for the electric upgrade that now allows this .

Yeah the old trick of flipping the breaker is out as they have all breakers locked up now!

Did a day trip, didn't stay because it was going to be cold and I don't like sleeping with Genny on, diesel or not!

That sure is a change. I used to go to Atlantique much later in the season and the Power and Water was always on into November. In fact I was told they never shut off the power, only water. This is because the current keeps the lines from corroding at least that is what I was told. I think we were both there around Halloween two years ago when I had my crockpot chili.
 
Probably due to all the Sandy related electrical issues that they shut off all power. Even if you got to the breakers, the feed coming in is out.

Yes Brad, i remember that trip.
Last year as well.
Atlantique was my last 2 trips before Sandy and before I lost the boat.
So I have good memories.
Ever since that trip we met you there we have made it our after Columbus Day spot.

AS for the feed, the power is on. The lights come on on the power poles.
They changed all the wiring we had and they now charge for electric service.
So before you leave, you have to go into office and give meter reading and pay for that.
They converted alot of A slips and some B's to 50amp.
