I have a standard 6 gallon water heater, with new style plastic hard lines. I was told by quite a few people that the best way to winterize the heater is to drain it, and bypass the heater with a temporary hose, then run the pinko through the rest of the system.
I can't for the life of me figure out how to disconnect the lines, and the hot water side is not reach-able. Can't I run a few gallons of the odorless, tastless, pinko AF through the tank and call it a day?
I know its a waster of AF, but I'll end up spending more if I snap one of these plastic connections.
Thanks
