Hi,
Since I got my boat back from winterization/storage/springization I noticed water collecting in the bilge. It was clean, clear water so I assumed that since we had a lot of rain, I might have a clogged drain on the flybridge or something.

When I next went to the boat, I brought one of the kids to help see if I could track it down. Before doing that, we turned on the water pump just to wash something in the sink.

When I climbed down into the bilge it looks like I sprung a leak by the water heater. When the water pump is pressurizing the system, I got a spray of water from one of the connections.

The connection is a little strange (to me). Any ideas of how to repair it? The boat is Italian if that makes any difference.

Thanks,
Bob

Here is the pipe - maybe 1/2 inch diameter pvc with a metal piece stuck in the end.

Here are the pieces that connected it, I think the ring on the right (now broken) might have been somehow attached to the pipe:

Here is the attachment on the tank side

This is how it is joined in another place:

The broken ring is indeed the problem. Your system is very similar to PEX system and repair parts can be purchased at some Home Depot and most Lowes stores. Shark Bite is another type of system similar to PEX. I don't know if they used metric sizes on your Italian boat-if so....you may need to source repair parts from somewhere else. Good luck!!!!!!!

Thanks cmariner, I went to Home Depot, I saw the sharkbite stuff but didn't see anything that was going to work. I asked for help and was told they don't have anything to fix it. They directed me to a local plumbing supply. I'm heading over to the plumbing supply tomorrow morning since I'd really like to fix it this weekend and have running water on the boat for our 4th of July party.
