After what seemed liked a very long winter we finally splashed on Sunday.
Went to the marina and pulled her out from inside storaged and installed new batts, finishing off a clamshell vent and loading all the bedding, pillows, etc back on the boat. Since she is on her own trailer we towed to the nearest gas station for 65 gallons @ $2.66 per gallon rather then fill up at the marina at $3.09.
Wife did a great job backing her off the trailer and pulling up to the gas dock while I parked the rig and made my way down. We went first to our brand new slip to get situated. Ended up getting a great 3 hours of slow cruising time on the river in before coming back to the slip at dusk.
Unfortunatley no cruising time today as we spent it cleaning and getting everthing stowed for our next free weekend. For those that might be familier with it we are at Fretress Lake Marine in East Dubuque, IL. Our slip is a brand new 30' covered which we plan on having as our home for a very long time. If your at Frentress and want to look us up we are on the K dock slip 217.
