Interesting, I was always told you "owe" the gas company; the credit card company; the telephone company; but friends don't owe friends. So............................

well Mike since you have taken care of the weather, cold you do something about an early retirement incentive so I could enjoy it more?...

George, the difference is you can control how much gas you use, how much spending you run up on your credit card and phone - but only I can control the weather. If you don't think that deserves a beer, then I'll just have to put a rain cloud over your boat for the rest of the season...

Butch, controlling the weather is easy compared to getting the Legislature to act - believe me, I'm ready to jump on an early retirement!!!

BS. I have to work on Saturday so thats the reason for a nice day. You can take credit for Sunday though. :)

Rob, thanks for lending a helping hand in this most difficult of jobs!

Had a really nice raft-up DESPITE the less than stellar weather. You're gonna have to try harder for next weekend Mike!

Yep, the raft-up was great, nice to spend time back at Croton - even if the cops were a bunch of jerks!

I never did get a chance to ask you what happened to Tim.

They gave him a ticket for reckless operation. Fortunately for us, they have the wrong jurisdiction, and he is under-age, so we'll get it dismissed.

Not to mention that they have no factual basis for issuing the ticket.

Dear Mike,

May I humbly request that tomorrow (Friday, June 15, 2007) be a good day to spend on the river? I would very much appreciate any effort that can be given in regards to the weather. Thank you Sir.

Calling Mike sir is sorta like putting a dress on Rosie. ;)

Just doesn't fit!

From Newschannel 12:

WARMER WEATHER ON THE WAY BY THE WEEKEND

The persistant upper level low pressure system that has plagued
our area with clouds and spotty light precipitation since last
weekend, continues to affect our area. It's very slow movement
means that cloud cover will once again predominate over the
Hudson Valley through Friday night. Winds will continue to blow
out of the northeast as well, meaning a continuation of cooler-than-
normal weather for one more day.

By Saturday, the low pressure system will finially begin to release
its hold on our area. We should see more in the way of sunshine
and noticeably warmer temperatures as winds turn out of the
southwest. However . . . the atmosphere will probably become
unstable, leading to some "pop-up" showers and thunderstorms
during Saturday afternoon and evening.

Fathers' Day should be very warm and humid with sunny to partly
cloudy skies. A weak cool front will move through during Sunday
evening, perhaps touching off a brief shower or thunderstorm, but much
Dad's day should be dry.

Very warm weather will continue through Monday and Tuesday. A
somewhat stronger cold front should move through during Tuesday
night, bringing a risk of showers and thunderstorms, followed by
drier and more seasonable weather for Wednesday and Thursday.

Mostly blue skies!! If you could just turn the thermostat up a lil bit? Thanks Mike! We're outta here.

It had to be gang. I've got the duty this weekend...
