We filled up the fresh water tank and headed out for an overnighter. We noticed we were running out of water earlier than usual. We had another couple with us and attributed it to this.

Back at the dock we noticed the aft cabin carpet was soaked. The bilge 'box' in front of this cabin was full of water too.

I climbed into the engine compartment and noticed the fresh water pump would not stop running. Our faucets were spitting too.

I filled the fresh water tank up and left the hose in it with a trickle of water still going into the tank. All fresh water systems worked fine then. Pump came on when we turned on a faucet then went off when we turned it off.

I pulled the cushions from the aft cabin and I pulled the plywood off. I saw 2 white tanks, one on the starboard with wires going in the top, which I assume is the hot water tank. The port side bilge under the seat in the aft cabin had water in it.

I assume we have a leak in the fresh water system though I do not know where. Everything inside the engine compartment is dry. All pipes are secure with no leaks. My guess, having never done anythign like this is the tank. My next plan is to pull the tank and check around it. The initial top inspection showed everything was dry.

Ideassuggestions?
