I was compounding my heavily oxidized hull with very unsatisfactory results. Then I went over a compounded area with hull cleaner and she shinned right up. My guess is that I was not able to get all the compound out of the old gelcoat. After the hull cleaner, I went over it with Buff Magic and Pro Polish and I've got a great shine going.
The Bad News:
I would like to go back over gthe rest of the half done boat, but during the project, I slipped, fell off the finger pier, blew out my ACL in my left knee and I just got out of surgery on Monday, and I've got about 6 months of rehab ahead.
