So I guess that place is on the do not eat list.

Sadly when I saw the that he was going there I thought maybe I would try it this weekend but then the follow up post have changed my mind.
It's Friday again can't wait for this day to end and I haven't even left for work yet.

Same. I was hoping for a few dinner spot.

I'm heading to the boat now. See y'all on the water.

I'm on the boat waiting for the haze to burn off!

Dave do what Walter and I do make sure you have a solid data connection (at least 2) and phone service(s) on the boat and then nobody knows you aren't in your office but you and the office staff! I find I can get more work done at the floating office than at my desk on land.
Bill

Bill I rarely work from my office other then to pay or write bills. In the past I used to try to spend one day a week working on board this year I have been to busy to do this and I have missed it.
Optimum wireless has a strong signal in my marina so internet has not been a problem and most of me business calls are done from the road so cellular is my primary office phone. So working from the boat is not a problem but being I'm busy considering the current economy I choose to go out and work. I'm thankful I have work, a lot of my competitors are crying the blues.

How did we live without cell phones for so long? I could be anchored at Croton and when I answer the phone the caller doesn't know where I am. More relaxing to take a call there than in my cramped home office. What will they think of next?

Well with WiFi, VSAT, 3G&4G cellular data modems you could actually be almost anywhere and conduct business. Having a full compliment and good laptops I have all I need to conduct business as usual. I can either use a remore desktop program or my VPN client to get to the office main servers. Audrey I'm really no longer on the road other than for meetings so I could stay on the boat as long as my wife could take it! Since my son can write checks and is in charge of the financial side of the business I don't even have to be there to sign checks. I have been spending more time out of the office this summer to prepare my office staff for my eventual move to North Carolina. The last couple of months we have only been home or at the office for 2 days a week, it's been great.
Bill

Bill that sounds great and someday I hope to be able to do the same but I suspect it will be way of in the future. I don't love having to work but I don't want to rush my life away either. In the mean time I try my best to enjoy as much time as I can on board. I did set up Wifi tethering on my HTC touchpro 2, it works well and allows me do some work while traveling. what I don't like with Verizon you can't use the phone and data at the same time but it hasn't been a big problem.
