What's with the nats?

They've been almost unbarable the past few days, anyone have any insight?
 
Same here down in South Jersey it's just the time of year. The Greenheads will be next for us. As long as we have a good breeze it keeps the nats away but once the wind lays down boy is it bad.

Thinking that with this mold winter we had, the bugs this year are going to be rough!!!
 
Heard the same... super warm winter equals more nasty bugs. Oh joy. Does mean lots more crabs out there cause of the warm weather!
 
This time of year there's always a lot of nats. May be some extra but this is the time.

I did see several crabs already at Watch Hill this weekend. They do usually say a mild winter means more crabs survive and we'll have a good season.
