I am planning on pulling the shrink wrap on March 24th. Put up the canvas and charge the batteries. Also touching up the bottom paint and painting the drives.

Planing on launching later that week or early the following week.

I have been out of the water since September and getting "itchy".

What's your date?

I'm hoping to get in in early March, shake out (I'm down in Stone Harbor right now) and sail up sometime early April. Hoping there's not *too* much trash in the river...

As soon as the docks go in, just before or after Hogan...

Launch date for me is when I go on sea trials with the new boat. God knows when that will be. Not soon enough for sure!!!

With me it isn't a question of when I'm going in...it's a question of when will the basin be ready. I'm planning on being a major league ball breaker when it comes to getting the docks ready. I'm tired of having to wait.

Soccer starts April 14 so my goal is April 07....lets hope for a mild March.

Chris, Im hoping for a mild February for you.

As soon as the docks go in. Before or after Hogan and Caryl D. The 3 of us are typically around the same time. Can't wait. See you guys Saturday Night.

If all goes well we should be floating by 4/18.

I should have my boat by Mid March, so hopfully, we have a mild march and the marina opens up early!

My innagural cruise will most likely be from near Annapolis to Nyack. Should be fun. I have arranged for the capt of the boat I am buying to bring t p, and he is going to show my wife and I how to work the thing.

When do you think you'll be taking the trip to Nyack? I'd expect you'd want to shake out by the dealer in Annapolis...

Yeah, we will do a ea trial and maybe a day near the dealer. The trip up will be a 2 day affair, with a stop in AC, at least that is my guess at this point. As soon as the marina will have me, we will be up.

Good luck with the passage. After Stone Harbor gets me back in I'm going to shake out for a weekend, make sure everything's up to snuff and head up. Will probably overnight around Sandy Hook -- that'll give me a full day to get from there to SPBM. Don't want to hit the marina at dark, being new to the area. Heard it's "interesting", depth-wise.

From Sandy Hook to the Marina you should be able to make the trip in 2-3 hours. Try to time the trip so you are not comming in on low tide, that will be 1 less thing for you to worry about.

I was on the River just yesterday. Of course I was on a dredge on the East River.
I think that still counts!!

Joe,
Good hearing from you. Hey you where closer than any of us....

Well, I found my splash date. I will take delivery of my new boat on April 9th! Can't wait, but I sure hope the ice on the river clears by then!

I'm looking at first or second week in April. Want to get in early this year.

Jeff,
The ice is usually gone by then but you will have to watch all the goodies of out there. The ice brings all the trash off the shore line and it takes a while before it clears out. You will find complete trees, car parts and all kinds of good things. You just have to keep a good eye on the water in front of you.

Good luck and enjoy the new boat.

So Judy, that means we will be seeing you in a few weeks then...
