Has anyone ever heard of Noble Island in the Delta and where is it located. Thanks

Sorry, never heard of it, perhaps one of the Reeeeaaaallly old salts like Flutterby will chime in. ;-)

Noble Is. is that small chunk of island directly across the SJ deepwater channel from Tinsley Is. It is occupied, and, I believe, owned, by a small, somewhat informal (and very dog-friendly) private club. That about exhausts the sum of my knowledge on the subject.

btg is correct about the location.there is no power or elec. but it is a great spot to go for a weekend or more.is is a private club and they are a nice group of people.i am an ex member, but was boatless for a couple of years.so i dropped out' give them a try. roy

SJYC's commodore, Mar, is a member. She mentioned to me that they have club meetings 4 times a year. A very laid back group!

Roy, are visitors allowed or is this just for members?

Oh my ----- now I'm a "really old salt"???? How time has flown!

Maybe my user name should be "old Flutterby"?

It's 'bout time you noticed that comment! I figured I should get even with you guys after all your "ugly mug" comments while I was away trout fishing. ;-) BTW, how old does a guy have to be for you to call him an old timer on the other thread ;-) I remember who you are talking about, but I can't remember his name or handle either.

Anyone on this forum who used to post on the Chamber's forum which Hal monitored would meet my description of an old timer. You and I both fit the description!

hi flutters, guests are welcome , but on a holiday weekemnd the memers have first choice on the docks.and if there is not enough room , then guests are asked to tie
out in the channel. usally doesn't happen. bur it's a great place to go.

Then I'll put that on my list of things to do in the delta.......thanks!
