Which Satellite Dish?

I own an '88 3807 AFMY that is slipped in a marina in Rockport, Tx. I am considering installing a satellite dish, and I was hoping that some of you might have some experience with either the KVH M1 or the Intellian i2. Is one superior to the other, and how do they perform in the southern Gulf Coast?
 
Not a carver owner and not in Texas, but I have the I2 and I can tell you it's great.
For less $2k, can't be beat. Plus it is HD if you want that feature.
Great Customer service.
Easy to install.
Light and small footprint.
 
+1 on the I2 I did an online search to find the cheapest price then West Marine price matched it under $1900. I installed in a couple of hours and I have been very happy with it.
 
Audrey II, where did you find a price below $1900? I've Googled the i2, and the best I've found is $2199. I'm leaning toward the KVH M1DX and Dish Network, unless I can get a significantly lower price.
 
I try to find it for you but it was just a random goggle search and it came up. The truth is I was hoping to get them down to 2K which is a what Currentsea told me it should be. When they told me the would match the best price I just searched the that was what I found. Frankly I was surprised they matched it from an unknown company. I'm just heading out I will see what I can dig up later. I can't post it here it would be a conflict of interest and I would do that to Les if I find something I will let you know and you will have to give me your email for me to forward it to you.

Does boatfix sell them? I know they sell the mounting plates but could not find the satalite dishes. Don't forget if your using dish network you also need the mim unit.

Dave how did you mount yours. I have a non-digital sea-tel 18" dome. I have not decided how to mount it yet though.
