Whiskey Slough

I read recently somewhere that some major improvements were being made at Whiskey Slough. I was there 6 or 8 years ago and it was pretty much deserted or seemed to be. Anybody know whats going on over there?

All kinds of good things. The basically leveled the old place and put a new state of the art dry stack storage facility there with other amenities. Hope they succeed.

Was there last week. They have a huge dry storage facility that look like an aircraft hangar. They also replaced all the docks and put at least 2 other new buildings in. I talked to one of the owners and he said that they have some other things planned as well.

Yep. It was bought about two years ago by some people who are really investing in it. They basically evicted all the existing boats, tore down all the old docks and structures and have been building from the ground up. Their launch ramp looks really nice, the campground looks pretty good, and the storage facility looks top notch. They have been having trouble getting all their docks in but I think they are making progress now.

It is nothing like it was two years ago. This is going to be a first rate marina.

I keep my boat there at WSM, it's clean, new, the security is A+. I am planning to be there for a long time. I have had boats since 1968.
