I JUST WANT THE WIRING DIAGRAM FROM THE DASH AND FOR GAUGES AND RUNNING LIGHTS TO THE BATTERY. IS THEIR A HARNESS OR DO I HAVE TO RUN EVERTHING SINGLE FROM EACH ITEM BACK TO THE BATTERY. THANK YOU CHARLEY P.S. MY EMAIL ADD: CHARLEYYY346rb2@gr5tSBCGLOBAL.NET WHEN IT COME TO ELECTRIC, 110 OR 12 VOLTS IT JUST SHOCKS MY BRAIN !

You might get a better response if you post in the Classic section. Maybe somebody's got one of these or had one.

Sorry, there's no Classic section here.

What do you have now? Has the engine been replaced? Could the wiring have been changed? Do you have a basically working electrical system?

They didn't really have harnesses back then. They just taped wires together. I'm not familiar with outboards. You probably have fuses at the helm, plus switches for things like the lights. They probably all feed from a single power supply wire, which may be part of the engine wiring.
Sterndrives had amp-meters rather than voltmeters until the early 80s. Not sure about outboards.
