whatever became of Woodsong, Bill Lentz, Rnbenton, (Bob Benton), Rommer, Philyteach and the mass of others who shared, informed and entertained us all here?

Woodsong checked out of all social media and internet usage. I saw he disappeared a long time ago and contacted him.
It was a family decision.
I don't judge but there is alot of people, including my wife that don't really use the internet or any social media.

To each his own.

Actually sadly Rommer didn't post however Hogan posted about his passing away.

We re all getting older ... and sadly BE’s action is mostly NBR these days

Click on Statistic in the menu bar for a trip down memory lane...

The older I get....the better I was....I dare anyone to think different!!!!!!!

Just 5 years ago I was able to change 8D batteries on my own... not anymore. Now I also have the Cat dealer do the oil changes...sure they re big engines that take 20 gallons and two BIG oil filters but I used to do them on my own.

Sucks getting old. I know... sucks even more not to :)

Any of the old crowd come along with the site migration?

My 6Cs took five gallons each?? Are yours different?
I had an oil change pump built in and ran the old oil into one gallon buckets I saved from last time. one gallon buckets were easier for me to handle. Got a few extra years out of the old body that way. Added a valve with a tapered hose fitting to suck out transmission oil.

I always installed the filters empty and emptied the old ones before removing them. Spinning the starter with thefuel off got the pressure up before starting.

8 Ds are the job for young guys.

Last boat & current boat take 20Gals with Gen-
6 x 8D's
5 x 31's-
no more for me

The 6CTAs on my boat are easy just 5 gallons each. I was talking about the C32s at the office. 20 gallons each but we have a 120 v high speed pump. The problem are the two oil filters per engines and they re BIG. To make things worst the bottom of the filter is slightly lower than the stringers making them hard to hold while spinning them out.

Pascal:

FYI my 6Cs used oil after fill up until I realized that if I left them 2Qts low they never used any oil. They were not on much of a down angle.
