Ok....going thru my new-to-me 38 Santego, I come across these WTF things. Anyone who can clue me in gets a free beer when they are in town. The first pic is 5 pieces of wood covered on 2 sides with formica, a routered slot on one side and an "eye" that you would see with some kind of hook on the other. The other 2 pics are recessed "do dads" in the forward stateroom wall that have a circular loop that swings out. I have no idea what the F either of these things are. Your help, guesses or smart comments are appreciated.

What kind of beer ?

RWS

The things on the wall are DOODADS and the pieces of wood are THINGAMAJIGS.

What is the beer party? :)

Bob

Nope...they are DoHickies. Thingamajigs have formica on all four sides. DoHickies, as the pictures above show, only have formica on two sides.

I hope the beer is cold!

Looks like he's going to have to get a keg!

The wood pieces are for the aft lounges to rest the tables on to make them into beds..they aren't mounted for some reason (replacements never installed maybe?) Looks like there's even lock receivers to hold the tables in place while sleeping. The other things look previous owner installed...possibly to hold something in place. We've sold a lot of 34/380 Santegos and I have never seen these handles before in that area.

Wow, I'm really glad Kenny got that handled for us.

Now when is the party?

RWS

Good job Kenny but you got to get BOTH questions correct before the beer is awarded.

It doesn't matter if they are or are not.....WE HAVE A WINNER!!!!!!!

Make mine a Black and Tan.....Attach one to each handcuff locking point please. I'll bring my own beer.

Thank you.

Kenny
There are supports screwed to the existing salon settees to hold the lowered tables, as well as aluminum pipes for the tables to sit on once in place. But your explanation is the best so far. The next time you're in the St. Pete/Clearwater area, you have a minimum of 2 beers of your choice coming to ya. Anyone else want to venture a guess?

Just thot I'd provide closure to the formica covered wood. Upon further review, Kenny is the winner by identifying them as the supports for the tables when they are in the lowered position for converting to a bed. My hat's off to you and you have 2 premium beers (if not more) when ya make it down to my neck o' da woods. The clips, on the other hand, are still up for interpretation and guesses.

telling ya they're handcuff lockin points....have the same things on all for corners of my aft berth... :)
