I was Down At my marina today... 60 degrees and not a sole...

Went to the anchorage... No drunken walter...

No glue sniffing Don....

NOBODY.... ghost town....

I even went to SS3.... same deal....

WTF.... Hello paging all boaters....

Or are we fine weather boaters.....

Rob

I was at the Anchorage in the afternoon, seemed pretty quiet. My boat is so far out of the way though you wouldn't have noticed me unless you knew where I was. I was surprised there weren't more people around. I'll be back there tomorrow.

everyone was at the boat show.

We went about 6PM.............bought a pair of " Maui Jim " sun glasses....walked around a little.....then left.....what a waste of time.

I was there today around noon, scheduled some work for my boat and a launch date of April 7th. Rob, if you still need the slip after that I will dock my boat at Dave's slip, he does not go in til May. Your boat will not fit at his slip, mine just makes it.

Rob,
Is your boat in the water yet? I really expected to see your boat at the Anchorage today. My boat is the first boat you see (to the left) as you pass by the guards booth entering the Marina.

Walter

Don,
That would be the show at SCC. I went one year and was not impressed, any decent vendors there?

Walter

Boy, I wish I knew you guys better and knew what you all looked like. I was at the SCC show too. Nothing impressive but hey, it's boats ain't it?? I think Maui Jim's was the best display so that pretty much sums it up.
Hey Rob, I will be at SS3 tomorrow but my boat is still at delivery center under wraps and they are still working on it. I will be there also on Monday to meet with Art Signs who is putting name on the boat.
Hope to meet all of you guys one of these days,

OJ

I am in Germany, boat is still on hard, gonna start prep work when I get home and I may go in early this year, so plan accordingly. I can always use your spare slip Walter!

Rob, I was right by you at Whaleneck all day working on installing my windlass!

Walter........ Yeah thats the show.. I wasn't planning on going till Deb asked me to take her.....she wanted to look at " toys " for her boat....so it was a last miniute thing. The usual venders were there....nothing new....small show....lots of small fishing boats.
One thing that was weird....I didn't recognize anyone at the M/M Sea Ray display....except ONE person. Times are changing.

OJ....what time where you there ????

Our season is ramping up, maybe not running the boat, but close enough. Friday night we had a LIYC card game and I ended up staying on the boat. It was a nice clam night with a full moon. On Saturday afternoon we had our first BBQ near the North Dock. It was just a few of us from our cruising group, but it was a fun day. My wife was feeling a bit under the weather with a bad cold, so I was solo both days. :--(

Did anyone see the eclipse last night? It was cool to see.

We are having a LIYC open house today 3/5 from 1:00-4:00, stop down and say hi, and a cold one is on me.

It was a nice clam night with a full moon.

WTF is a "clam night"?????

Mike......I think it may have something to do with being " SOLO "????.....not sure.

I was down at Jones Inlet on friday and saturday. All I can say I hope they dredge soon because at both high and low tides there were breakers across the whole entrance from the west bar to the east bar. I did observe two boats venture out only to turn around before approaching the breakers. From last I heard, the money is in place but the equipment is still down in the Gulf of Mexico working on projects.

Adam

OJ....we got there about 5:30pm or 6pm...... We were only there for about an hour.

Walt,
I dont want to inconvience u.... when u splash ill move... appreciate the Generosity....

Boat should be there in two weeks.... have alot cleaning and loading to do.... Ill take note of the electric when i get there...

Rob

Don't be silly, it is no inconvience at all. You can stay till Dave launches his boat. Dave's got a nice slip, my old one. Dave even offered to use my second slip if need be. As far as the electric goes, don't worry about that, buy me a Pina Colada (with all the fruit of course) and will call it even. :)

I know you don't feel comfortable staying at your marina this early in the year, I am happy to help you out. Dave usaully goes in around May when it warms up.

My warranty on my port motor is up on april 29th (my birthday) I want to run it before that just to make sure all is ok. The starboard motor is warrantied till august.

Again, dont be silly, no incovience what so ever.....

Walter

Hogan, Calm , clam , WTF it was a great night and spring is almost in the air.... Ok sort of….

Don, solo is good sometimes..... Imagination works wonders..... ;);)

Rob/Walter - do you know if the power is on at Walter's slip? I'm further down the dock for the winter, past where they are doing the dock work, and there's no power on. I assume it's off because of where they dug up. I'm not sure if that would mean the power at your dock is on the same circuit and shutoff, or if that side is okay. Rob, you might want to verify if you need the power on.
