We just returned from the Bahamas and wanted to give our owners the first look ever at the new 5260 running in open water. So please light up the post board and let us know what you think of these images. There will be more to come, along with an exciting new 5260 website launching soon!

Regal Marketing Department

P.S. Yes, we did have a great time and it was hard work. Wish you were there!

Please resize the images to a maximum size of 800 x 600. It makes it easier for people to view them in the context of the forum.

BTW - they look great! Thank-you for sharing with us.

EDIT : Thank-you the quick resize.

here... now it looks sleek ! i hope the stubby look in the original pics is caused by a resize problem... it looks like a floating pontiac Aztec !

i don't know about the Pterodactyl or Aztec but first thought that came to my mind was "it looks like Woody the Woodpecker!"

Wow, Pascal stretches that thing about ten feet and discovers the next Regal model: The 6360!

Good looking searaycruisersmontereybaylinermaxumsomething. Where's the Regal?

WOODY WOODPECKER !! exactly !!

if it didn't have those 2 diagonal wide stripes, and if the side windows were wider and not angled upward, it woudln't be as bad although that' still one tall express.

it'a also a very unpractical boat down south since it has too little ventilation when anchored. a small sunroof, opening in the winshield and 2 tiny side windows. I'm assuming the helm area has AC which means you have to run the genset 24/7. also one tiny bity hatch in the cabin means if you loose AC or Genset... you're done,it's back home. yikes. i hope it has redundant systems, at least a backup air con pump if not a back up genny.

David... sorry but the sundancers are not bad looking boats, i dont' care for the trendy reverse sheer line but they're pretty good looking stylewise. this is more like an edgy sunseeker wannabe, even has the builders name near the waterline aft...

Pascal,

I should have put an emoticon to my post. Regal, to me anyhow, has been as close to cutting edge as you can get without heading to Europe to get a boat. I think the 4260 is one hell of a good looking boat. This one just looks too generic to me.

I agree about the Sundancers. Just purchased a new to me 99/00/07 330 dancer.

It looks okay, but personally, I think I like the streched version (6360 as Ken notes) better.. :)

DAvid

i agree... till this one, i've always though Regal had a good balance of being disctinctive without going over the top. this one though... is way over the top.

the picture on the link abalmuth posted is even worst...

what the heck is wrong with these people... a 53 footer with 120ish gallon tank, are they kidding ?? this is one day worth of water if you have more than 2 women on board...

and that ladder going down into the cabin... can anyone explains how you go down with falling down the side ? no handrails... hit a wake/wave and crash down you come. Note that the interior picture of the sofa is taken without the table which can be seen on the floor plan right at the bottom of the steps... so to sit at that end, you need to step over the ladder. nice...

and is sure hope the hull is properly reinforced to withstand the flexing caused by these large windows... better not tie up to a dock where you need to put fenders tehre...

helm visibility... am i the only one questioning all these "stylish" blindspots ?

Those are older pictures Pascal so some of your very valid comments have already been addressed.

Here are a few shots from another thread here.

I like it for what it is and it's looks very livable. It's not a MY or a Sedan for a reason................

Very nice !

Wow...a lot of criticisms... although I'm not in the market for big boat, I can't judge it too harshly by just looking at pictures...

I like the styling - it's fresh and edgy.

What I would be more curious about is the performance. How does this boat stand up to the competition?
