For 2 years now ive been messing with boat cams . I found very inexpensive IP cameras made by D link that I think everyone will love. Dlink hosts the cams and u put an app on ur phone. Very simple to set up . One cam was 80 bucks the pan tilt is 100. all color . all nite vision and sound. If ur looking for a way to keep ur boat scure this might be what ur looking for for .

The ones I purchased are not waterproof. But they do make them . Also The camera;s have the ability to be used as WFI extenders. So u can daisy link them to get longer range on the camera.s .

I have the DCS 932L, and the dcs5020L Pan tilt. All wifi enabled. All IP cams

I can send pics of the how the cams transmission quality if u want .

I set mine up at home first. then brought it to the boat . LEt me know and ill come set it up with u. its so simple and lots of options . Check out the pan tilt model. u can view all the cams at once on a ipad device.

Thanks. I will try this model first and see.
If it works well, may get pan and tilt and move the fixed one to my front porch!
I will get alerts when mail or deliveries come and when people come to door!

I may pick one up just to play with I have three cameras recording on a DVR on board but logging in to view them is not easy and slow. What are you using for internet? I'm using a wave antenna that I got from Billy I have it always on and logged into the closest Optimum hotspot. My set up works well but I always looking for new toys to play with I'm thinking of ordering a PTZ unit to test.

Hank I think you should be able to jump on my wifi to access the camera I will pick one up to play with it.

ordered two of the pan and tilts, why? because they exist, which means I must need them :)
 
Guys radio shack 100 bucks pan tilt .
Dave , I'm using the rogue .with optonline as well

Funny I have a DVR and cam too ion board and logging in is impossible

All a foreign language to me, but I'm interested. Probably not needed at all for my little center console but hey, its another toy...

They sell a 5010 and a 5020, I don't see the difference.
Seems 5020 has wifi extender?
 
The wifi extender allows it to act as just that a repeater
