Woo Hoo, I'm official now (# 119?). Took possession of my 1984 40' 3607 Aft Cabin (I know, It's a mutant) last Thursday. It goes back in the water after bottom painting this week to reside for a while in the Pittsburg Marina. The added 4' cockpit really makes a difference.
I'll be doing some cosmetic work right away including new furniture & dinette cushions, new bimini canvas (to match the aft deck), a new inverter, Stereo upgrade, & installing all the new electronics that came with the deal (still in the box). Fortunately, she had a great survey so no safety or big mechanical things that need to be done.
This is my first boat ... figured I jump in at this level so I don't spend my soon to be retirement life moving up 10 feet at a time. Thanks to folks here who have already given me some great pieces of info/advice; I'm not
even thinking of taking her out anywhere until I get the right training. I'm not even bringing her the short distance from Antioch to Pittsburg (CA Delta) myself).
Anyway, here she is (broker picture ... I'll update it when I get one in the water myself). I'll post bridge & inside pics I took over on the Carver Pictures thread so I don't take a lot of space here.
Can't wait to cruise our beautiful Delta!
