Hi Erik,
Sorry for the very late reply as it's been very busy with the festival. Unfortunately, the Parks Department does not allow people to anchor their boats and bring a dingy or even walk ashore. This is their policy and is out of my hands.

Best,
Steve

I say we get dozens of people to walk to shore at low tide together and lets see what the 2 park rangers can do about it. Refuse to stop and just keep walking. What are they going to, shoot us all? They only have 1 bullet each!

Rommer let me know when you are planning this. I want to watch:} One thing I have learned never challenge a man with a gun. I'm not sure I understand this policy and I certainly don't agree with it, but I wont push my luck either. I have taken my dink to the shore without incident but I have also been chased away, they were nice about it but none the less they chased me away. I have taken to just getting close enough to shore to stand comfortably and hold or anchor the dink or jetski have my fun then leave. I don't know the distance from the shore we are suppose to maintain but I have not been chased until I was out of the water, but I'm sure we are not supposed to get as close as I have done and many others do on a regular basis.
I think it would be nice if they would lift the ban for the day but I really didn't expect them to set a new prescient that would open a can of worms in the future but it was worth the try.
