"Dear Friend of Restore the Delta,
As you know from all the communications material and media articles that we have generated this year, Restore the Delta has been very active in expanding its education and outreach message, and in advocacy work on behalf of Delta communities and Delta fisheries.
Thanks to the generous support of our friends, like you, we were able to finish the documentary and to finance all the broad communications work that we have completed thus far this year. But with the Governor's announcement last week, it is clear that the real fight is now beginning. We, therefore, need your support more than ever in order to sustain our comprehensive education, outreach, and communications work.
Here are three ways that you can help Restore the Delta going forward:
1. Sponsor our Grand Food and Wine Classique Event on September 8, 2012 at the Grand Island Mansion. Sponsorship packages include tickets, VIP parking, media recognition, event posters etc.
There are three levels of sponsorship: $1500; $1000 and $500.

3. Buy tickets and bring friends to attend the premiere screening of "Over Troubled Waters" at the Crest Theater for this coming Wednesday, August 8, 2012. We think it is important to have as many supporters as possible at this first screening so that we re-emphasize our opposition to the Governor's plan to build the peripheral tunnels.
