So I assumed that you were all set and there would be a pic or pics to look for yet there weren't any. If you think THAT was BS then you really need to get some meds.
I just looked at your profile and I see now that you just need some help in uploading your avatar to it. So....you wanna know how to do it or would you rather argue about it?

KALENA II , sorry buddy thought you were busting my chops , & was getting mad at the world last night cause i'm too stupid to figure it out.
Ican't even get the darn pictures off the camera , just had a client come in my office when I was swearing my head off & had to apologise to him also.
Think I do need to take a pill , must be the slow down in business( stress ) , slowest it's been in almost 20 yrs. for me.
Second time i had to apologise to someone here, & i really like this boating site, thank you for the nice offer of help, i need to float on the tide for awhile and chill out .

allright i'm gonna take it easy from now on , don't mean anythig by it so hope no one takes that stuff personaly. that kina crap doesn't bother me one bit but thats just me .( thick skinned like a croc.).
but i guess some are sensitive , all in good fun remember.
Whats Alpine getting these days a gallon? was gonna stop there the other day but saw a bunch of boats outside the wall waiting for the gas dock and just kept on going.

Almost forgot what happens if you get stopped without a boating safty course in jersey ? Am i technicaly illegal to boat there this year?
Most of us old geezers have been buzzing up and down the creek for more than 20yrs+. is there a age exemption or any thing like that, seem like another way to reach in our pockets again ....Thanks

Pete Mrrs , would you like butter with that ? glad your enjoying the show Pete (lol) :)....Jon

The rules are being phased in based on age so it depends on how old you are this year.

Schedule for Completion of Mandatory Boating Safety Course:

Persons born in 1969 or later must possess a Boating Safety Certificate by June 1, 2006.
Persons born in 1959 or later must possess a Boating Safety Certificate by June 1, 2007.
Persons born in 1949 or later must possess a Boating Safety Certificate by June 1, 2008.

All persons who wish to operate a power vessel must possess a Boating Safety Certificate by June 1, 2009

"68" guess i better get one . is it a fine or something worse anyone know?

Jon

Yes it is true. Here are a few links with the gory, obscene details.

http://www.boatered.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=111429

http://www.njsp.org/info/pdf/marine/boating_education_requirements-021606.pdf

And from http://www.njsp.org/maritime/faq.html the NJ State Police FAQ...

Q2 I live in another state, do I need a boat safety certificate?

A2 Yes - Out-of-state residents are not exempt from the education requirement listed above; however, the law states that an out-of-State resident who is at least 16 years of age and who will be in this State for less than 90 days may operate a power vessel on the waters of the State of New Jersey if they possess a boat safety certificate issued by their state of residence, or if they possess written proof of successful completion of a boat safety course approved by another state, the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators(N.A.S.B.L.A.) or the United States Coast Guard.

Jon

I believe it is a fine but I'm having a senior moment so I'm not sure...

Thanks rommer , mabey i'll learn something , guess i gotta get one like everyone elese.

Walter , the excavation business, I'm ony a small fish out there but am 4th generation in the bis., don't ever remember it so slow.
Most of the builders & small contractors that i count on for work are slow as well , some sitting on houses since for over a year now, Some of the big guys are buisy as usuall,i;m getting by but just barley . If it doesn't pick up soon i'm gonna have to go back to the union i'm in 1456 pile drivers & dockbuilders and beg for work.
I feel for ya about gettin paid thats a constant battle for me .

OFF SUBJECT looking at the news right now and some nut is climbing a building in times square , way up there too guess it could always be worse.
best whishes Jon
