Hey Butch, can we start planning the funeral yet?

They need more than K-Rod. They need a whole bullpen. All of them must go.

I hear the plans for the the funeral are now being finalized.

So who's to blame for this?

The entire team

Ah Yes the Yankees are DONE!

Dont worry the Mets will blow it and be playing golf as well shortly.

I bet when MLB scheduled the Yanks/Sox final three games they thought it was going to be gang busters. Who would have thought Tampa Bay would have been on top of both the Sox and the Yankees...THAT's not supposed to happen. Good Luck to the Sox, thank goodness for the wild card, lets hope the mets can play that card as well.

Meanwhile, Torre makes it to the playoffs. I was for the removal of Torre but I guess it's my time to eat crow.

Not sure why managers always get the blame for losing teams, granted sometimes they are to blame but to have a huge payroll like the Yankees filled with "super stars", and still fall miserably short....I don't know, seems like more a player issue to me. Common knowledge I am no A-Rod fan. He could care less of the Yankee Tradition" or anything else. His sole desire to play in NY is that NY is the media capital he is a self absorbed butt hole. He needs to go away.

But....My Chargers finally won their first!! Sorry Mike, at your expense!

I saw that game, the Jets lost, the Chargers didn't win. Don't pop that champagne just yet.
I want to be a JETS fan, I really do but they are making it soooo difficult.

Listen, I have been a Charger fan for 31 years...I'll take a "win" anyway I can get it!! LOL

Pete...

Congratulations on making the wild Card. Not that I will be rooting for them to win but I will say they do deserve it more than the yankees would have.

There are alot of people to blame and alot of adjustments to be made. I was wrong about several players that I thought shoud go, Moose being one of them and I will eat my crow. They need to work on the bull pen and find some young hungry players to pitch for them. You can only ask so much out of the veterans.

The good news is there is always next year...

Now as far as the Mets...Well I have been saying for years, they need to remember the season goes into Sept/Oct, it does not end in August!

GOOD LUCK Pete.....

Well Butch, I guess, as a true Yankee fan, I'll have to cancel you out and hope Boston loses three straight.

I don't care who they are playing - I'm rooting AGAINST Boston.

PS - does your son know that you're rooting for the Sux, er I mean, Sox?

and the silver lining is that I won't have to stay up until the wee hours of the morning watching playoff games!

Butch thanks for the good thought, and Mike I would be disapointed if you thought any different. Your lack of post on the Yankees this year has brought me all the satisfaction I need. God knows as a Sox fan, we have seen our share of dispair, and I truly understand how any team can have a bad century. This one just happens to belong to the Yankees.

BTW; Joe Torre must be smiling, he's going to the post seasson and his former team. . . well!.

The Yankees had a day long ceremony to close the once great stadium, and they don't even mention Torre's name. Shame on them!! This will be the cause of a pox for many years to come. Once upon a time you needed great pride to "be a Yankee", Hank Stienbrenner has destroyed all that in one year

I'm a life long Yankee fan and really hate the Sox but your point is spot on Pete!

Now Mike I never said I was rooting for the sox, in fact I said

Now as far as the point about Torre not being mentioned, I think it was a disgrace. I wish him well in the playoffs and would like to see him go all the way. Once a great manager, always a great manager. Just goes to show when management stays out of it great things do happen...

Now not that I am rushing things but hurry up spring training...

Hogan - Calm down, They are still the jinxed jets - Was at the game yesterday and it was a decent game but the defense still needs allot of work.
