Stopped up at the marina to check the snow load on the boat. Looked out to into stony Point Bay and found the bay almost dry!

All the docks were sitting in the mud as well as all the boats that were wintering in the water. One of the lowest tides I have ever seen.

I took a bunch of pictures which I'll post later on. Really strange to see the bottom of the seawall at the marina.
 
Wow, I'd be able to finally find those reading glasses I lost this summer! A shame they can't muck out some of the fairways...
 
Did you check Bowline for Bobby's anchor?
 
It's because its too cold for them dar hill billies up north to drink da beer and pee in da river!!

Forgot all about that Mike. Should have given that a check. Then again he had bigger issues with the collapse of his shrinkwrap from the snow.
 
Ouch - not much luck with that boat...I think it might be jinxed
 
When we have a blowing cold front with north winds, our water drops a couple feet lower than normal.
It looks really low during a low tide and a north wind.
 
Pictures coming soon. They are cellphone photos so the quality is not the best but clearly shows you what the bottom looks like!

Been trying to get some of my work that has backed up out of the way but I'll try to post later today.

Good time to clean out the bottom of your slip.
 
On the NOAA site they had a low water alert posted. I've never seen that one before.

Those pics are scary. Glad I have 18 feet under my boat.
 
that's unbelievable I was there on Saturday everything looked normal. I guess it's time to find a new slip(just kidding). I was complaining before at low tide. How long will this last? This is the first time I was glad the boat is out of the water. Probable the last time too.
 
hey that looks a lot like lake lanier except we don't have that clear plastic looking stuff covering all of our water like you've got. What do you call that stuff? Looks like it'd be a pain to swim through!
 
We like to keep our mud fresh Tony. Saran wrap over the entire surface in the winter!
 
Can't fault the marina on this as all the local Stony Point Bay marinas were affected. This condition is abnormal to say the least. Sure we all wish the marina were deeper but it's still a good place to be overall.

Pasty's, Bel Harbor and PennyBridge all suffered as well from the ultra low water conditions.
