George, yes hauling out is the best option unfirtunately in some places there is just no room to haul out. During Wilma and Katrina I was able to adjust my lines at the peak of the storms. Not by hand obviously But using the windlass for the bow lines and the engines for the sterns. I got off the boat to assist a neighbor with a broken piling... I had to step down on the top of a piling and then on the dock. Only time I ever wore a PFD at the dock
