Reminds me of some dialog on one of our docks up north. It went on between someone who (heaven forbid) wanted to stop drinking.

1) Hey I've got to stop drinking. It's getting me into trouble.
2) Yeah I Know what you mean. It's really tough being here at the marina tho. People are always offering you a beer.
1) Yeah, that makes it rough for me also.
2) Not only that but it makes it tough to lose weight also.
1) I like extra weight.
2) So do you know where there is a dry marina?
1) On earth???

LOL!
Was that the bumper boat driver?

BTW - just kidding about D dock. There are some very nice people
there as long as you catch them early in the day!

Dave,
You will have no problem docking. When we pick up ours Ilene asked the question, do you think you will have any problems docking. I said we will find out soon enough. On our way home we stopped for fuel in the Catskills, I pulled near another boat at the fuel dock. It was tight but I was able to dock it. Docking at our home port took one try; I had to spread the pole apart to get in. My slip was too tight due to the pole being 1 foot over to my port side. I then moved to my spot now. No problems getting in. The weight of the boat helps, plus there is usually someone on G-Dock that will help. Extremely windy days can be difficult. It took me 3 tries last year and with help from others. My nose would wonder, since I do not have a bow thruster. You just have to anticipate were your boat is going to drift and time it getting in. I think this boat is easier than our last due to weight and torque. Don't worry you will be fine.

I'm sure I'll be fine I just don't want to be the guy the everyone at the marina is talk (laughing) about you no the guy who can dock his boat and make a complete fool if himself. The boat handles very good and the weight is a big help. Bob you where there the first time I had to dock at our marina I can in on one motor that an experience I hope never to repeat.

I was wondering why everyone comes running when they so him coming. LOL
Actually the funnest thing was seeing several people including his wife line up on his dock when I came in, only to realize it was the wrong boat. But I was a little jealous of the help.
Bob makes it look easy as did I in my old boat.

Dave i did forget about the noise on the service dock and your right about people taking your spot when you leave for a ride. That's why I use Haverstraws pump out, can never get to ours.

actually was the one good thing about the dock was when I needed to pump I waited for an opening and just walk it forward. But I look forward to the new slip. I was up there today sanding. it's a lot of work, that's why I'm starting early.

Don't worry as soon as I back in I'll probably take that title. BTW - Who needs a dock neighbor? (requirement - big fenders)

Hopefully just kidding, see you guys soon.
